2017 A look back!

As we look back on the past year, we give thanks to our wonderful clients for their loyalty, teamwork, and trust they have placed in us to create, plan and execute their events to ensure memorable experiences for their audiences. It is these relationships that will continue to shape our business and let us do what we love most. Let’s reflect on 6x S6 highlights from 2017:

1. Congratulations CompuVision!

This year we worked with CompuVision on creating a unique event to celebrate their 25th anniversary and grand opening of their new head office location in West Edmonton. The event was focused on showcasing disruptive technology with scheduled private tours for all guests. The guest experience included valet parking, a telepresence robot greeter, craft beer, wine and scotch tastings, freshly baked cookies, an interactive media wall, 3D printing demos, print gun solutions, tasty appetizers, photobooth, virtual reality experience, hololens demos, smoked old-fashioned signature drinks, prize contests and a surprise google tile give-away connected to the guests’ car keys after the event. View the video here showcasing some fun highlights of the event!

2. Finalist at the Canadian Event Awards + Winning at the Edmonton Event Awards

2017 was an exciting year as we were announced finalist for Best Corporate Event Produced in Canada by a third party planner and winner of Best Live Event at the Edmonton Event Awards for a Winter Lodge themed event we produced in December.

3. Reward Yourself! at the ACE Awards#38 gala

The ACE Awards gala is the largest annual gathering of advertising, marketing, communications and public relations professionals in the Edmonton community. Edmonton’s best advertising is submitted for judging against international standards. ACE members do amazing, world-class work and each year, outside experts confirm it. 2017 was all about the “Reward Yourself” experience. The final result was a glam environment with a high fun-factor and unique design elements incorporated to guarantee impact; making guests feel like they were truly “rewarded”.

5. Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation’s first Iron & Frost Gala

We joined the OEG team as Event Production Designer for the first ever Iron & Frost Gala at Rogers Place. Our ultimate goal was to convert Ford Hall, a 25,000 sq ft atrium, from an empty space into an elegant gala setting for over 700 dining guests and transforming the hockey arena into a wow-factor Vegas-style casino. The 2017 gala offered guests a Vegas-style Glitz & Glam dinner & casino evening in support of gala collaborators Edmonton Police Foundation (EPS) to raise funds for their new EPS 24/7 Command Centre. Guests had a chance to bid on unforgettable items including an amazing southern road trip with the Edmonton Oilers. Artist Jessica Haas, painting live at the gala, offered to the auction two different large canvases of four Oilers. After the formal dinner program, Vegas-style show girls welcomed everyone into the arena for a fun casino night that included a custom-designed ice scotch bar, frosted chandelier decor, led lit lounge areas, a photo booth and DJ entertainment. The Oilers players themselves were the dealers at the casino tables where guests gambled with “funny money”.

6. Mass Effect Andromeda Launch Events

We had the pleasure of working with BioWare on planning events for their new game launch for Mass Effect Andromeda including a fan event and staff celebration at the Rec Room in South Edmonton Common.
